Signs of the Coming Great Chastisement

       Wars and calamities are punishments for sins.

 

       Osee 9:9. They havesinned deeply, as in the days of Gabaa: he will remember their iniquity, and will visit theirsin.

        Prov.13: 34 . Sin maketh nations miserable.

        1Paralipomenon 21: 8. And David said to God: I have sinnedexceedingly in doing this : I beseech thee, take awaythe iniquity of thy servant, for I have done foolishly. 21: 9 . And the Lord spoke to Gad, the seer of David saying : 21: 10. Go, andspeak to David, and tell him : Thus saith the Lord : I give thee the choice of three things :choose one which thou wilt, and I will do it to thee. 21: 12 .Either three years' famine: or three months to flee from thy enemies, and not to be able to escapetheir sword: or three days to have the sword of the Lord, and pestilence inthe land, and the angel of the Lord , destroying in all the coasts of Israel: now, therefore see what I shall answer him who send me. 21:13 . And David said to Gad: I am on every side in a great strait:but it is better for me to fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercies are many, than into the hands of men. 21.14 . So the Lord sent a pestilence upon Israel. And there fell of Israel seventythousand men. 
 

       To identify the signs of the coming great chastisement, we need to look at the quantity of sins and the types of sinsthat are abominations in the eyes of God but are tolerated by thesociety.

From our vantage point it is difficult

to gauge the quantity of sins. But weknow from various apparitions that sins

have multiplied beyond measure. Whatwe can do here it to point out the sins

that God particularly hates but areconsidered normal in the society, and

those that were not acceptable in theprevious centuries but acceptable now.

 

      2 Tim 3:1 Knowalso this, that in the last days, shall come dangerous times

: 3:2 Menshall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud,

blasphemers, disobedient to parents,ungrateful, wicked, 3:3 Without affection,

without peace, slanderers,incontinent, unmerciful, without kindness,

3:4 Having anappearance indeed of piety, but denying the power thereof. 
 

       There is no need to expand beyond what is a remarkably accurate description of the current social conditions of the so-called "Me Generation."

 

      Let us look at two sins among the four sins thatcry to Heaven for vengeance:

murder and homosexuality.

 

      There are other sins that stand out in these endtimes.  The seven capital sins or vices promoted by the Masonic-illuminatiforces.

 

      Another sign of the end times is the rise indrugs, sorcery, witchcraft, and

Satan worship. There are thousands ofsatanist covens in cities across the

U.S. where kidnaped young children arekilled and offered to Satan. At the

same time, astrology becomes morepopular. It was banished from serious media

for a long time. But the owners of theTV stations now allow the commercials

of psychic services, another name forastrology or fortune-telling. Let us see

what God has to say about theseactivities:

 

        Deut. 18:10 . Neither let there befound among you any one that shall expiate his son or daughter, making them topass through the fire: or that consulteth soothsayers, or observethdreams and omens, neither let there be any wizard, 18:11 .Nor charmer, nor any one that consulteth pythonic spirits, or fortune tellers, or that seeketh the truthfrom the dead. 18:12 . For the Lord abhorreth all these things, and for theseabominations he will destroy them at thy coming. 
 

      We have mentioned above that thesecond fall starts with modern Eves: it is the Revolt of Women. Next, The Negligence of the Catholic Bishops. Finally, the Great Apostasy within the Catholic Church.

 

      With the beginning of the period in which themajority of Catholic population

was to be apostatized, the time thatGod has granted the preaching of the

Gospel to all nations wasaccomplished. Thus, another sign that we are in the

end times is the return of the Jews toPalestine:

 

       Luke 21:24. Andthey shall fall by the edge of the sword and shall be led

away captives into all nations: andJerusalem shall be trodden down by the

Gentiles till the times of the nationsbe fulfilled.

 

       Romans 11:25 . A Partial blindness only has befallen Israel, until the full

number of the Gentiles shouldenter. 
 

      And when we see the Jewish nation proclaim their Messiah of the New Age, know that he is the Anti-Christ, and the Great Chastisement is at hand.

For Our Lord said:

 

      John 5:43 . I amcome in the name of my Father, and you receive me not: if

another shall come in his own name,him you will receive. 

   

       The sins of all kinds are multiplying beyond measure, particularly murder of the unborn, sexual abuses of children, homosexuality, and sins of impurity.

When they are weighed against prayers,penance, and sacrifices by the Catholic

faithful the scale is heavy on theside of sin. As a result, we have witnessed

a sharp increase in number andmagnitude of natural and man-made disasters:

earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes,typhoons, floods, volcanic activities,

plane crashes, terrorist bombings, andwars. This is because all creatures

including the elements hate those whohate God and rebel against those who

rebel against God.

 

       Wisdom 5:18. He will arm the creature for the revenge of His enemies.

5:21 He willsharpen His severe wrath for a spear and the whole world will

fight with Him against the unwise.
