The Three Days of Darkness
by James Fifth
"...If men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible
punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such
as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out
a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor
faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the
dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left
by my Son.”
Our Lady of Akita
October 13th, 1973
For generations Christians have been mystified with the accounts in scripture regarding
the days of tribulation, from the rise of the Antichrist and the persecution of
the faithful to his inevitable end and the destruction of all who followed him or
took his mark. Saint John the Apostle described his vision of this final confrontation
as such:
“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together
to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast
was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with
which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped
his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which
sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”
(Revelation 19: 19-21)
The Apostle Matthew had also foreseen the end of the Antichrist’s reign followed
by a universal darkness where the heavens themselves would be shaken from their
foundations.
"Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon
will lose its brightness, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of Heaven
will be shaken"
(Matthew 24:29).
This horrifying event, coalescing at the end of this era of iniquity, is often referred
to as the ‘Three Days of Darkness’, a chastisement that will engulf the entire world,
wiping out all who had followed the beast and rejected He who was sent to save us.
It will be a point where the Lord’s wrath will be poured out in full upon the whole
of humanity after which His Divine Justice will at last be appeased.
“Whoever does not pass through the door of My mercy, he must pass the door of My
justice... " (Saint Faustina; Diary of Divine Mercy, n. 263)

Always Darkest Before the Dawn
Many mystics and visionaries since the 1800’s have claimed to have been given messages
regarding this grand cleansing of humanity. "All states will be shaken by war and
civil conflict. During a darkness lasting three days the people given to evil ways
will perish so that only one-fourth of mankind will survive." Blessed Sister Mary
of Jesus Crucified (19th century)
In the 19th century Blessed Gaspar Del Bufalo affirmed "The death of the impenitent
persecutors of the Church will take place during the three days of darkness. He
who outlives the darkness and the fear of these three days will think that he is
alone on earth because the whole world will be covered by carcasses." (Catholic
Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement by Yves DuPont [pg. 79])
It would be a worldwide chastisement, claimed mystic and stigmatist Marie Julie
Jahenny of Coyault, France, during which the infernal powers will be loosed and
will execute all the enemies of God. "The crisis will explode suddenly; the punishments
will be shared by all and will succeed one another without interruption... " (January
4, 1884).
Jahenny claimed:
The three days of darkness "will be on a Thursdays, Friday, and Saturday; days of
the Most Holy Sacrament, of the Cross and Our Lady ....” “Three days less one night."
"The earth will be covered in darkness," she quoted the Virgin Mary as saying on
20th of September 1882, “and hell will be loosed on earth.” "Thunder and lightning
will cause those who have no faith or trust in My Power, to die of fear."
"During these three days of terrifying darkness, no windows must be opened, because
no one will be able to see the earth and the terrible color it will have in those
days of punishment without dying at once... "
"NO ONE OUTSIDE A SHELTER... will survive. The earth will shake as at the judgment
and fear will be great.” (8th of December 1882).
"Three-quarters of the population of the globe will disappear. Half the population
of France will be destroyed."

According to a vision of the Blessed Mother received by Brother David Lopez in 1987,
day would be as night and night would be as black as a coal mine: an impermeable
darkness where no artificial light, except that of a blessed candle, will penetrate.
"During these three days of darkness, there is not going to be one demon left in
hell. All are going to be on earth. Those three days are going to be so dark that
we will not be able to see our own hands before our faces.”
A Light In the Darkness
Along with the various messages regarding the 3 days of darkness is also words of
preparation. Sacramentals such as holy water and blessed salt, rosaries, crosses,
and other religious symbols are always useful for assisting in prayer, increasing
devotion, and dispelling the power of the evil one over us. But one common item
mentioned in many of these messages is the need for blessed candles.
"There will come three days of complete darkness. Only blessed candles made of wax
will give some light during this horrible darkness. One candle will last for three
days, but they will not give light in the houses of the godless. Lightning will
penetrate your houses, but it will not put out the blessed candles. Neither wind,
nor storm, nor earthquake will put out the blessed candles.
Marie de la Fraudais (19th Century)
“It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except
blessed candles.”
Blessed Anna-Maria Taigi (19th century, Italy)
Total darkness is truly a terrifying scenario. Most everyone in this modern era
has lost the sense of what complete darkness is, and how frightening it can be when
you can sense danger surrounding you of which you cannot see. Coal miners have often
described the blackness of the mines as being so profound and so intense that it
can strike fear even in the bravest of men. Let us pray that such darkness does
not catch us off guard and ill prepared.
"The sky will be on fire, the earth will split... During these three days of darkness
let the blessed candle be lighted everywhere, no other light will shine.... THE
CANDLES OF BLESSED WAX ALONE WILL GIVE LIGHT during this horrible darkness. ONE
CANDLE alone will be enough for the duration of this night of hell... In the homes
of the wicked and blasphemers these candles will give NO LIGHT... Everything will
shake except the piece of furniture on which the blessed candle is burning. This
will not shake. You will all gather around with the crucifix and my blessed picture.
This is what will keep away this terror."
Marie Julie Jahenny (1884)
And Yet There Is Hope
It is always darkest before the dawn. And yet dawn will certainly come. A new dawn
will immerge for mankind where nations will live in peace, no longer raising their
weapons against one another.
And he shall judge the Gentiles, and rebuke many people: and they shall turn their
swords into ploughshares, and their spears into sickles: nation shall not lift up
sword against nation, neither shall they be exercised any more to war.
Isaias (Isaiah) 2:4
The Holy Catholic Church shall once again stand in glory. Entire nations will be
converted and come into the Church, and an era of peace will finally be granted
to mankind. The darkness that has ensnared the hearts of so many will at last be
dispelled, replaced by a love for Jesus, present in the Eucharist, who will reign
in the hearts of men for generations.
“The judgment will come suddenly and be of short duration. Then comes the triumph
of the Church and the reign of brotherly love. Happy indeed they who live to see
those blessed days.”
Fr. Bernard Maria Clausi, O.F.M. (1849); The Three Days of Darkness, Albert J. Herbert,
p. xi
Some of the accounts of this new era of peace even describe that those in Heaven
will guide humanity in the paths that God had designed for us, restoring His Church
as His adorned Bride.
"After the three days of darkness, Saint Peter and Saint Paul, having come down
from Heaven, shall preach in the whole world and designate a new Pope. A great light
will flash from their bodies and will settle upon the cardinal who is to become
Pope. Christianity, then, will spread throughout the world. He is the Holy Pontiff,
chosen by God to withstand the storm. At the end, he will have the gift of miracles,
and his name shall be praised over the whole earth. Whole nations will come back
to the Church and the face of the earth will be renewed. Russia, England, and China
will come into the Church."
Blessed Anna-Maria Taigi (19th century, Italy)
“After this frightful punishment I saw the heavens opening, and Saint Peter coming
down again upon earth; he was vested in his pontifical robes, and surrounded by
a great number of angels, who were chanting hymns in his honor, and they proclaimed
him as sovereign of the earth. I saw also Saint Paul descending upon the earth.
By God's command, he traversed the earth and chained the demons, whom he brought
before Saint Peter, who commanded them to return into hell, whence they had come.
Then a great light appeared upon the earth which was the sign of the reconciliation
of God with man. The angels conducted before the throne of the prince of the Apostles
the small flock that had remained faithful to Jesus Christ These good and zealous
Christians testified to him the most profound respect, praising God and thanking
the Apostles for having delivered them from the common destruction, and for having
protected the Church of Jesus Christ by not permitting her to be infected with the
false maxims of the world. Saint Peter then chose the new pope. The Church was again
organized..."
Venerable Elizabeth Canori-Mora (19th century, Italy)
Even science, once the antithesis of religion, will be humbled and at last work
alongside with Faith, bringing about so many wonders to humanity far exceeding anything
our technological era has ever seen. Maria Esperanza, one of the greatest mystics
of the 20th century, had foreseen many of these advancements following the great
purification. One example being a new technology that will allow a powerful new
means of illumination which will turn dark into day. She foresaw that as tapping
into a "stellar curvature." She also saw forces of light and music combined together
in ways that currently are unimaginable. And in equally surprising language, she
foresaw "the registration of equations to their final expression" and computer devices
that will replace many of the functions of a doctor. She describes such inventions
as coming from "secret forces" hidden in rhythms of nature and what she calls the
"sacred canticles." Read More:

“Be Not Afraid”
Heaven is forewarning humanity that this era of iniquity will come to an end. But,
it is never God’s intent to frighten us, but out of love and concern He wants us
to be prepared spiritually as well as physically. It is always wise to remain in
a state of grace at all times because we know neither the day nor hour when He will
call us to give an account of our life. “Do not be afraid about the three days of
darkness that will come over the earth, because those who are living my messages
and have a life of interior prayer will be alerted by an interior voice three days
to one week before their occurrence.” (Blessed Mother to Brother David Lopez)
We must begin to prepare now, starting with reconciliation with God and returning
to the sacraments, forgiveness of others as well as ourselves, and prayer (especially
the rosary). If we do not prepare spiritually first, physical preparedness will
be of no avail to us.
Fasting is the most powerful spiritual discipline of all the Christian disciplines.
Through fasting and prayer, the Holy Spirit can transform our life, empowering our
prayers, atoning for sin, and strengthening us against the concupiscence of our
flesh (the lower appetites of our animal nature).
"Fasting cleanses the soul, raises the mind, subjects one's flesh to the spirit,
renders the heart contrite and humble, scatters the clouds of concupiscence, quenches
the fire of lust, kindles the true light of chastity."
Sermon by
Saint Augustine
[Fasting is an excellent tool for overcoming addictions to sex and pornography!
Occasionally starving the body of food has a direct impact on sexual urges, since
the stomach is right on top of the sexual organs. Why this works is anyone's guess, but
it does work. Saint Thomas Aquinas, one of the greatest minds ever in the Catholic
Church, says in his Summa Theologica that fasting is the guardian of chastity.]

Overcoming Pornography
It is natural for us to fear the unknown, especially for those of us with children,
which is why Jesus is preparing us for what is to come. He does not want us to fear
the future, but to instead embrace Him, defend the Truth and His Church, and to
“wash our robes in the blood of the Lamb” that we may stand strong against the howling
winds of he who will attempt to overthrow the Church, enslave humanity, and raise
himself as God.
The purification must come before an era of peace can be granted to the world. But
as long as we are united to Him, then there is nothing on earth that we should truly
fear, not even The Three Days of Darkness.
I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Blessed
are they that wash their robes in the blood of the Lamb: that they may have a right
to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.
